Recruiting: Go Social with the Brand!

To attract top talent you have to move your message to where that talent’s at. We’re probably not telling you anything you haven’t already heard when we say, the top talent has eyes on social media.
Own your LinkedIn page. Fill it with good content about cool things your company does. Actively monitor the conversations on it and make sure your recruiters are easy to access and ready to engage potential hires.
Use facebook as a hub for discussions about technology and telecom, what your company’s doing in the field as well as some humble bragging of course. Engage others who are like-minded and curious about similar things. Encourage your employees to act as ambassadors and color it with personality, this will have a lot more impact.
Make this a forum for your recruiters to quickly interact with different candidates curious about what’s going on at your company. There’s nothing wrong with a little manufactured buzz. It personalizes the first step of a process where candidates start deciding if they should look deeper into your company.
YouTube
Load up some good stuff on your YouTube channel, people will tune in. Talk about jobs, different business groups and the company culture. It all beats a flat Open Position bulleted list that lists requirements. Lead the conversation by talking about who you are and who succeeds at your company.
Blog
Establishing thought leadership but with personality and a more intimate feel than a press release or formal letter to stockholders. Talk about the fun things happening at the office and other telecom topics people are interested in.
